Seamless: the generator handles the outage, the UPS handles the gap
Automatic transfer is fast, but it is not instantaneous. Anything with a processor in it treats a several-second drop exactly like a power failure. Seamless pairs a correctly sized standby generator with a battery UPS on the circuits that cannot blink.

Sort your loads before you size anything
- Tolerates a short interruption
- Freezers, well pumps, heat, lighting, shop tools, HVAC. A conventional generator and automatic transfer switch handle these cleanly.
- Cannot tolerate any interruption
- Point-of-sale, servers and NAS, monitors, network gear, security and access control, medical monitoring, process controllers, PLCs and CNC controls.
- The gap itself
- From loss of utility to stable generator output is typically several seconds and can exceed half a minute on larger, colder, or under-maintained units.
- What the UPS does
- Carries the sensitive circuits instantly on battery, holds them through the transfer, then rides on generator output for the duration of the outage.
- What the generator does
- Provides sustained runtime, hours or days of it, that no practical battery bank alone would deliver for a whole facility.

Seamless Essential
Home standby or light-commercial generator plus a point-of-use UPS on the office, network, and security panel. The simplest way to eliminate reboots.

Seamless Business
Liquid-cooled generator, service-entrance ATS, and a rack UPS feeding a dedicated protected panel for POS, servers, refrigeration controls, and comms.

Seamless Critical
Generator plus double-conversion (online) UPS with maintenance bypass, sized for care, laboratory, and process control environments where any dropout is unacceptable.

Details that decide whether it actually works
- Topology matters
- Line-interactive UPS is adequate for most office and retail loads. Double-conversion is the right answer where the load must never see a transfer or a waveform disturbance.
- Generator power quality
- A UPS is only as happy as the source behind it. Voltage and frequency regulation of the genset must be within the UPS input window or it will stay on battery and eventually drop.
- Runtime is not the UPS's job
- Size the battery for the transfer window plus a safety margin, not for the outage. Sustained runtime is the generator's role.
- Protected panel over outlet strips
- A dedicated protected sub-panel is more reliable, more maintainable, and far easier to document than a collection of desk-side units.
- Battery service life
- Batteries are consumables. We include capacity checks in the maintenance plan and replace on condition, not on hope.
