Capabilities

From load study to commissioned system

We handle the entire backup power chain: what you need, what carries it, how it transfers, and who keeps it running. Every install leaves with documented startup readings and a service schedule.

Scope

What we do

Load calculation & sizing
Measured or modeled demand including motor starting current, a prioritized load-shed scheme, and documented growth headroom in kW, so the unit carries the building instead of nuisance-tripping on the first well pump start, and without paying for a frame size you will never load.
Standby generator installation
Pad or slab, fuel line and regulator sizing, exhaust clearances, conductor routing, and commissioning with documented startup readings.
Automatic transfer switches
Service-entrance rated and sub-panel ATS options, with critical-branch separation so backup capacity goes only where it earns its keep.
UPS & battery backup
Line-interactive and online double-conversion units for servers, POS, controls, medical devices, and anything that cannot tolerate the transfer gap.
Permitting & utility coordination
Electrical and gas permits, inspection scheduling, and coordination with your utility on meter and service work.
Emergency service & repair
Diagnostics on any brand: no-start, transfer failure, alternator, controller, and fuel-system faults.

Process

How a project runs

01

Site assessment

Panel inspection, load inventory, fuel availability, and placement constraints: setbacks, exhaust, snow load, and noise.
02

Specification

A written recommendation with kW rating, fuel, transfer strategy, and an installed price range across at least two manufacturers.
03

Installation

Permits pulled, pad set, gas and electrical run, ATS installed, inspection passed.
04

Commissioning & handover

Full-load test, exercise schedule set, controller walkthrough, and enrollment in an annual maintenance plan.

Engineered, not oversized

Many electricians read the service amperage, round up two frame sizes, install the unit, and leave maintenance to the customer. It is fast, it costs you more up front, it wet-stacks a diesel that never sees load, and it ends with a lapsed warranty on a unit that will not start. We engineer the load with real numbers, design the shed scheme, state the spare capacity, and put the system on a documented service plan before we leave. How we're different →

Generators vs. UPS

They solve different problems

Standby generators

Cover the long tail. They start on utility loss, transfer in seconds, and run for days on natural gas, propane, or diesel. There is a brief gap during transfer.

Uninterruptible power supplies

Cover the gap. Batteries carry the load instantly with zero interruption, then hand off to the generator. Minutes of runtime, not days.

Any site with servers, controls, POS, or medical equipment should have both. The UPS protects the transition; the generator protects the duration.
